“Really pleasant atmosphere, with delicious seafood. Hadn't booked popped in just to see if we could be seated. Experienced lovely fresh food. Shame the outdoor bit at the back isn't utilised for drinks seating, etc, as it's got a magical feel.”
“I wanted to eat at a seafood restaurant. I found this via Google. I had the seafood platter to start. Very large portion. Plenty of delicious seafood, nice sauces... (Maybe needs another slice of bread to mop them). My wife had the calamari special and enjoyed them too. I then had the fish mixed grill. Lovely food again. Several fish, served with gambas and pan fried carrots and parsnips. My wife had the fish and chips which she enjoyed. We had great desserts to finish with. I had a carrot cake and my wife a cheesecake. They are both handmade. We don't visit the area often but if we do, we will pay this restaurant another visit. It's worth it.”
“The best sea food I ever had! I never liked mussels but the way the chef prepared them now I love it! It’s a must visit while in Matlock. I definitely will be back. You need to make sure you book in advance as fully booked. People are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!”
“Superb seafood. Tasty and clearly fresh. Cooked and plated in view of you. Get the mixed fish grill, 4 pieces of the days fish. Would be great if they were able to seat people in the cave, but health and safety may not approve. The owner is obviously into her sea food and chooses only the best. This may affect the menu, but that will be great.”
“The wife and I decided to call here during a visit to Matlock Bath. The venue is tucked away from the main road and is lovely and clean. I love an open kitchen where the chefs are proud to show off their skills to guests. Staff were friendly and attentive. And the food!!! Wow!!! Simply awesome and delicious. The wife had the Seafood Platter and I had the Surf and Turf, consisting of Derbyshire Pork Belly with four different fish fillets! Absolutely delicious. We have already decided we will be back. Highly recommend this place.”
